The gasoline foisted on us today goes stale, absorbs water and causes all kinds of storage problems for boaters. If you have a small (22' or less ) sailboat the electric solves all your problems. As a +++ it is QUIET! I wish I had bought one sooner. I don't know if it was the quietness of the motor or just my luck, but I seemed to catch more and bigger fish.
